Forever part of who we are
Jamio 4.8R5 brings two experiences in one . On one hand, your usual Jamio – solid, reliable, enhanced with new enhancements that boost performance and functionality. On the other, a door to the future that we're opening first .
In addition to the current release, we're making Jamio's new frontend available in beta . It can be accessed, alongside normal use, through a dedicated URL.
Ultimately, this is yet another opportunity to get a glimpse of new user experience . A completely redesigned front end with a modern UX, more intuitive interfaces, and features that open up new possibilities. This isn't just a cosmetic overhaul: it's Jamio's next chapter
Starting today, you can request access to the new frontend in beta. You'll have access to your solutions, data, and processes with a completely new interface. You can try it whenever you want, experiment, explore, and then return to the usual interface for your daily operations.
Basically two things:
– may present limitations or behaviors that are not yet fully stabilized
– at this stage, no official documentation or official support is available
The current interface remains fully functional and represents the standard way of using the platform.
If you use Jamio Composer , you will find an important new feature: some features will be marked with a badge: ![]()
What does this mean?
You can already model aspects of your solutions that will be usable with the new frontend. You're literally building the experiences of tomorrow, preparing them for when the new frontend becomes the standard. You'll be able to test these features in the beta version, but be warned: in the current version of Jamio On Stage, some features may compromise the expected functionality. It's strongly recommended to keep a copy of the solution in production and conduct any tests only on development/test areas.
Highlights of this release include integration with SendGrid for sending tracked transactional emails, catalogs as a multi-type projection , single sign -on Jamio applications , and a number of enhancements to the Admin Console , Jamio Composer , Elastic Storage Plugin , and Survey Designer .
With Jamio 4.8R5, the platform is enriched with new APIs for sending and tracking transactional emails via SendGrid .
multi-recipient sending with the ability to customize the subject and body of the message for each recipient, starting from a template. Each shipment is tracked through its various stages, with full visibility of its delivery status.
Business Value: Communications to customers, partners, and stakeholders become more reliable, controlled, and automatable, with the ability to collect feedback to be managed within processes and with a direct impact on service quality and corporate communications governance.
It's now possible to characterize a catalog as a projection of multiple types , adding additional reference types to the main type. This new feature is especially designed for those already exploring the new Jamio frontend, where this feature expresses its full potential.
Business Value: Greater flexibility in data modeling, with the ability to build richer structures that are more representative of business reality.
This release introduces a shared session between Jamio's frontend applications: Jamio on Stage, Jamio Admin, and MyAccount.
A user authenticated on one of the three applications is automatically recognized on the others, without having to re-enter their credentials. The single session respects all the security rules already defined at the platform level: duration, idle timeout, and expiration remain unchanged.
Business Value: A smoother, more seamless user experience, especially for system administrators, with fewer manual logins and more consistent and secure session management.
Jamio 4.8R5’s Admin Console brings three significant new features.
“Automation Management” category is introduced , which brings together the Processes, Archived Processes, and Schedules catalogs in one place — with the ability to view their details and perform actions directly from the Admin Console.
The catalog pager has been completely redesigned: navigating through large volumes of data becomes much easier.
On the performance front, the Job Engine's parallelization architecture , with specific optimizations for cyclical jobs and exported file production. Finally, bulk catalog actions are now executed in the background, without blocking the interface: the user can continue working while the operation progresses, with real-time visibility into the status.
Business Value: Increased operational efficiency, better visibility into automated processes, and a more modern and responsive administration experience.
The Survey Designer has evolved with the ability to dynamically populate response lists by drawing directly from the Jamio catalogs. New controls include the incrementally loaded drop-down menu and the incremental multiple-selection menu from the catalog.
Business value: Surveys using existing catalogs on the platform.
Jamio 4.8R5 also brings important innovations for those who design solutions.
For Documents , new configurable versioning properties are now available in Composer for each stage of the document lifecycle—first publication and subsequent versions—with automatic deletion rules for previous versions (lock, delete the oldest, no management). You can also define the panels visible when the document is opened , choosing between metadata, preview, components, or combinations of these.
The catalog navigation mode : the designer can now choose how to open the detail of a catalog between three options — modal (default), side-by-side (SplitView) or none.
Business Value: More controlled solutions, more customizable user experiences in document processes
Ability to improve data indexing by ignoring catalog columns when not needed.
Business Value: Lighter, cleaner, and more targeted indexes — with a direct impact on the performance and quality of indexed data.
Nothing different than usual. You'll receive an update with performance, security, and functionality improvements. Your Jamio will continue to work exactly as before, only better. Your usual URL will remain unchanged and will take you to your usual interface.
Absolutely not. The new beta frontend is currently an option , whenever you like, but you can continue working normally with the traditional interface without any limitations or penalties .
In the future, yes, but not now. For now, it's a parallel preview . Once it's mature, stable, and fully documented, it will become the standard. But this transition will happen gradually, communicated in advance, and accompanied by training and support.
Upon request , you will receive a new dedicated URL (different from the usual one) that will allow you to access the same environment with the new interface. You will use the same credentials as always. The traditional URL remains available in parallel.
No, there are no duplications. Both URLs point to the same platform , the same data, the same processes. Only the way you view and interact with them changes. It's like looking at the same room from two different windows.
Yes, at any time. Just use the traditional URL. No permanent changes, no lock-in. Your classic experience is always there, unchanged.
This means that since it's a beta, some features may behave unexpectedly, there may be occasional slowdowns, or some interface elements may not be optimized yet. For this reason, we recommend using the traditional URL for critical or urgent operations. However, no data will be lost .
Standard support remains unchanged for the traditional interface. For the new frontend , we encourage feedback through dedicated channels that we will communicate. This isn't traditional technical support, but a co-creation dialogue.
These are new modeling features that allow you to design aspects of your solutions that will only be accessible through the new front end . The badge clearly indicates which ones they are.
Yes, you can model them now. However, end users will only be able to use them if they access them through the new Beta frontend . If they access them using the traditional URL, those specific features will not be available.
Yes, some new NEXT features are additive , others are replacements . Therefore, there is no guarantee that all features will continue to function normally with the traditional interface . We recommend not using NEXT in production environments that currently based on the frontend .
Not yet, but it will be available when the Beta version is fully released .
Yes , with the right context. The new Beta frontend is an opportunity to give your customers an exclusive preview of the future , positioning yourself as an innovative partner. But it's important to manage expectations: present it as a preview experience, not a finished product.
Transparency is the key. He explains that:
– It's a beta version (so a work in progress)
– It's used to gather feedback and refine the experience
– The traditional interface remains the reliable tool for day-to-day operations
– Participating in the beta makes them pioneers who influence Jamio's future
Technically yes, but under two conditions:
– discussing with Openwork the use cases to be managed;
– strengthening the testing phase for the implemented use cases in order to guarantee their full usability in the new frontend, given that these features are not available in the traditional one.
Yes, we're preparing materials you can use to introduce the new beta frontend to your clients. They'll be available soon.
More than a change in direction, it's a natural evolution . We're keeping all the power and reliability of the current platform, adding a frontend that opens up new UX and functionality possibilities. The core remains solid; the interface evolves.
No. It's simply a different URL that points to the same platform. No installation, no configuration. Log in with your usual credentials and you're in.
In some cases, yes, clearly . In others, we're still in the optimization phase. Since this is a beta, you may notice some operations or behaviors that need to be refined. Your feedback on this will be valuable.
Yes, the new frontend is responsive and designed to work on multiple devices. Again, since it's a beta, the mobile experience isn't optimized yet.
We will shortly communicate the dedicated channels for collecting to anyone who requests it .
We don't have a definitive date yet, and this is a conscious choice. The transition to the new frontend will become the standard only when it reaches the maturity our customers expect from Jamio : a stable platform, comprehensive documentation, and a fully validated user experience. Once we're ready, the migration will happen gradually, communicated well in advance and supported by our team .
