Jamio Ouverture 6.1 continues the evolution of the platform, with new features dedicated to integration with external systems, document management, and design tools.
The main new feature concerns the expansion of the integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, already introduced in version 6.0, with the ability to configure Microsoft SharePoint as an external document repository and manage its files and folders directly through Jamio processes.
An evolution that allows organizations to leverage the technological investments already madeby integrating their document archives into business processes without having to duplicate systems and information.
The release also extends the authentication methods to external services and enriches Jamio Composer with new features to support modeling.
Jamio 6.1 takes another step forward in integrating with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Following the features introduced in version 6.0 for document collaboration and shared editing of Microsoft files, Jamio now allows you to configure Microsoft SharePoint as an external document repository, through a specific configuration of the External Document Plugin in the Jamio Admin Console.
To support the integration, new methods for managing files and folders in SharePoint have been introduced , allowing you to:
– Create and organize folder structures in the external repository.
– Upload, read, update, rename, move, and delete files.
– Check for the existence of documents and folders.
– Read and update business metadata.
– Identify and manage files and folders through persistent references (Reference), with path-based fallback mechanisms.
The benefit for organizations is being able to maintain documents in the company repositories already in use, integrating their management into the digital processes governed by Jamio.
This means reducing information fragmentation, avoiding document duplication, and promoting business continuity between Microsoft 365 tools and business applications.
Jamio thus strengthens its role as an orchestration platform, capable of coordinating processes, people and documents even when the latter reside in external systems.
Jamio 6.1 expands the authentication methods available for invoking REST services.
Support for the OAuth2 JWT Bearer Grant, with a new credential configuration and the GetOauth2TokenWithJWTGrant method.
The feature allows you to obtain OAuth2 tokens using JWT Grant, expanding the possibilities for secure and automated integration with external applications and services and promoting interoperability with corporate information systems.
Introduced the IdentityPersonalInfo, dedicated to updating personal information associated with a Jamio identity, such as email address, phone number, and other data.
The event allows you to intercept changes and manage them through the application logic provided by the solution.
Organizations can thus automate the actions resulting from updating master data, reducing manual interventions and promoting information consistency in business processes.
Jamio 6.1 introduces new descriptive properties for models and catalogs, allowing you to better distinguish technical information from user-oriented information and improving modeling clarity.
The possibility of configuring links to Type Models and Catalog Models directly during the design phase is also extended.
These developments help make application models more understandable and reusable, simplifying the design and maintenance of solutions.
The new features also prepare the platform for future document automation and self-composition possibilities , including through the use of Microsoft Word templates.
