What happens when an innovative start-up and a social cooperative meet with the desire to embrace change?
A CHALLENGE WON
It was a good idea, an excellent one at that.
Bringing together an IT startup and a social cooperative . And like all excellent, stimulating, and innovative ideas, it faced many challenges.
Let's say right away that we won them all (let's be modest...): not because we were good (perhaps a little), or because we had the right intuitions (some certainly did), or because external, contextual conditions allowed us to, and this is also true. The real reason, the deeper one, at the heart of everything is that the desire and demand of both our entities: Cooperativa Lanza del Vasto and Mistral Solutions , wanted the same thing. To embrace change. For the cooperative, it meant taking the first step in digital innovation; for our IT friends, it meant encountering a completely new reality and "world." So we began: we formed a company together (Digital Innovative Social Care) , we submitted a project for a specific call for proposals from the Municipality of Genoa, we won it, and the adventure began.
It lasted more than a year: from paper-based management, Excel spreadsheets and attendance records, documents attached to emails, purchase requests lost in the maze of corporate bureaucracy (who doesn't?), and much more, we gradually moved to digitizing the cooperative's internal processes, trusting and enriching each other.
We struggled to understand each other at first, and then again, because we used different languages and skills, and perhaps we were initially a little wary of each other. But along the way, all of this gave way to the project's growth, which, let's remember, concerns not only work processes but also the possibility of creating innovative digital services for the cooperative's users .
That initial desire grew with the realization that we wanted to create something that would concretely help people work and feel better. Operators and beneficiaries. What exists now? The DISC platform of integrated digital services for managing work processes (personnel, reporting, documents, archiving, purchasing and maintenance automation, orders, etc.) and several local services for users managed directly by the platform: online bookings; scheduling for appointments such as visits, recurring therapies, and more; video conferencing; access to documents; 24-hour ticket assistance; memory games, entertainment, and cultural activities. What lies ahead? Perhaps the greatest challenge: facing the open sea of the many social cooperatives, and others, to which we can offer our work and see if we can truly overcome this challenge.

Managing manufacturing processes with a no-code approach , this is the title of the speech, held by Ester Latronico, Presales Manager at Openwork.
Set within a joint narrative by several companies belonging to the Apulian IT Production District, the topic addressed focused on how to increase competitiveness and attractiveness through digitalization, innovating factory processes, supported by specific software technologies.
