The two-day International Business Forum "The New Frontiers of IT in Apulia" scheduled for November 7/8 at the Grand Hotel Masseria Santa Lucia in Ostuni has come to an end.
At the event, organized by the Apulia Region, Distretto Produttivo dell'Informatica, Puglia Sviluppo and InnovaPuglia, there was a constructive discussion between some of the most important Apulian IT companies and several representatives of global IT giants such as Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, about the sensitive and increasingly discussed topic of IT security.
Why was Apulia chosen? Because the region boasts of a cutting-edge information technology sector offering increasingly innovative IT services that allow the area to recognize it as fertile ground for new and challenging research and innovation projects geared especially to the theme of digital security.
In fact, during the forum, Apulian knowledge and expertise useful for network, application and organizational security was highlighted, also accomplice to the spread of new emerging technologies such as enabling platforms, artificial intelligence and IoT
Salvatore Latronico, CEO of Openwork and President of the IT Manufacturing District opened the International Business Forum by stating the following: "The Apulian IT sector is embarking on a path of specialization in the area of digital security with the aim of creating around this theme, in collaboration with other regional players, a system of competencies recognizable outside the regional and, we hope, national territory; this Forum represents a unique opportunity for comparison with the major international players in Information Technology in order to initiate a dialogue on the evolution of technologies and the various application solutions in terms of network, application and organizational digital security."
