Artificial Intelligence and Business Processes

Artificial Intelligence: Investments to support business processes are increasing.

By 2022, corporate spending on artificial intelligence in Western Europe will reach nearly $11 billion. Italy's role is also noteworthy, having already reached approximately €17 million in investments in 2018 and set to reach €25 million by the end of this year.

This is the scenario presented by IDC regarding investments in Artificial Intelligence and which foresees, among other things, further growth at a global level that will reach 77.6 billion dollars within the next 3 years.

Various sectors are involved in this evolution: from banking to retail to healthcare, and it is especially in the latter sector that important progress is being made with improvements in patient care models, disease diagnosis and treatment systems and research tools .

Specifically, according to the global survey conducted by IDC, cognitive services have already brought improvements in workforce productivity and decision-making processes , with increases of 20% and 17% respectively.

The exponential growth of investments in Artificial Intelligence signals how the shift toward AI is destined not only to continue and expand in the coming years, but above all to create new consumer-focused business models , as well as having a positive impact on organizations' operational and decision-making processes.
