Horizon Europe Apulia: technological challenges for the Apulia of the future

Six working tables for some of the different societal challenges under Horizon Europe, theEuropean Union 's research and innovation program (running from 2021 to 2027), implemented with the aim of intervening in the technological development of different sectors of society: health; culture, creativity and inclusive society; civil security for society; digital, industry and space; climate, energy and mobility; food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment.

A challenge that to be sustained requires a collaborative approach that can lead to a common vision on the development of the territory; it is with these premises, in fact, that Distretto Produttivo dell'Informatica pugliese, Universities and various economic actors of the territory for the first time have come together to initiate a confrontation aimed at the search for innovative ideas with a strong technological orientation.

An important first step that will involve, in the coming months, six tables led by a group composed of more than 50 companies and startups associated with the District, as well as a hundred or so professionals from the Apulian IT world, in order to put their skills to work in support of the territory.

Salvatore Latronico, president of the Apulia Information Technology Manufacturing District and CEO of Openwork, spoke during the meeting.
