The 3rd Edition of the musical and cultural review "The Concerts of the Polytechnic" is about to begin , the first concert on Thursday, March 5, 2020.
Six dates, between March and May, with concerts and cultural meetings involving musicians and music experts (Italian and international) on the university campus.
The scheduled events will be free and open to anyone who feels like participating.
"Culture needs to be supported because culture is never an expense but always an investment," said Bari Polytechnic's Magnifico Rector Francesco Cupertino during the press conference presenting the event, stressing that the Polytechnic's initiative is also a way to reclaim other cultural fields that are different but contiguous to those of the university; he also thanked Randstad, Openwork and Master Explorer companies for their participation and support.
The theme of the third edition will be "Eternity is not so much more durable" a phrase by poet Mario Luzi, an invitation to reflect on our fluid temporal condition.
Music, literature and art, since time immemorial, have taken it upon themselves to challenge time, to allow men to stretch their gaze toward the infinite and indefinite in an attempt to try to grasp the essence of things. During the presentation ceremony, Openwork's Martin Arborea, reiterated how time is also a challenge for the enterprise that wishes to build in a lasting way, also stressing the importance of collaboration between Enterprises and Universities and how this can help mitigate the risk thatobsolescence can affect investments in innovation.
