According to an I-Com study, published by ITALIA OGGI, if even just 10 percent of public administrations decided to adopt Cloud technologies the savings could be around a not insignificant amount, we are talking about 900 million euros.
This is well known by those municipalities that, for some time now, have decided to place more attention on the issue of Digital innovation with a particular orientation towards the Cloud; in fact, this change of course would allow P.A. not only significant economic savings (e.g. fixed costs related to infrastructure maintenance), but above all would ensure greater security on the management and storage of data and information.
Relocating the infrastructure of one's information systems to the Cloud therefore means delegating its management, with attached responsibilities, to the technology provider, thus freeing oneself from burdens and a substantial (and avoidable) expenditure of additional valuable resources.
But what factors need to be evaluated for public administrations to be assured of secure, stable and high-performing service delivery? Over all those international certifications that guarantee data security management from logical, physical and organizational perspectives apply with certainty.
An example of this is Openwork itself whose ongoing commitment to safeguard security, integrity and data protection was recently recognized and certified ISO 27001:2017, further strengthening the assurance of a proper information management model with reliable and efficient privacy-protecting security procedures for both public and private entities.
